We’re Ready. Are You?
Let’s Get Interactive in South Florida Again!
There’s nothing worse than social distancing for a group known for their unparalleled interactivity and networking. After all, as digital marketers, “social” is practically our middle name.
Video conference tools have their value. But even we digital know-it-alls want to live IRL most of the time. In-person events can bring an exchange of ideas and new concepts you hadn’t been exposed to before and help you build personal connections you surely wouldn’t meet at work – even if you are on-site every day.
Besides, the other plight of an interactive marketer is that none of our families really understand what we do, so it’s just nice to hang with people who get you.
Admit it, you’re ready, too.
Well, stare out that window no longer, buttercup!
WE. ARE. BACK.
New South Florida IMA Board of Directors Set to Bring Back In-Person Events
The crew at South Florida IMA couldn’t be more excited to share the news that in-personal educational and networking events are returning to the South Florida interactive marketing community starting this month!
Mark your calendars for these upcoming dates:
- June 9th Digital Marketing Happy Hour in Miami at Doral Yard
- July Digital Marketing Meet & Greet in Boca Raton (Date & Location TBD)
- Educational Series Kick-Off in Fort Lauderdale | August 11th, Featured Speaker from Microsoft
“We’re thrilled to announce that South Florida IMA is ready to get back to in-person events,” said Peter Leshaw, SFIMA Board Co-President. “It’s also exciting to bring in a marquee name like Microsoft for our first live monthly event in more than two years, and provide our local South Florida interactive community with exposure to thought leadership from a global interactive icon.”
Peter was elected in March along with a new Board of Directors that includes Co-President Joe Laratro, (Tandem Interactive), Treasurer Keith Fletcher, Michelle Carroll (1 Stop Marketing Solutions), Ryan Kemp (Zulu Shack), Lilia Pozos (rbb Communications), Monica Ruiz (Starmark), Genie O’Loughlin (Optimized Content).
Making Connections that Last
South Florida IMA has long been recognized as one of the best networking opportunities among South Florida’s professional associations, largely propelled by a dedication to proving high-quality education and thought leadership. The new Board of Directors is committed to delivering on that promise.
One of the benefits of getting involved with SFIMA is the ability to meet people in the industry that can be amazing sources of knowledge, talent, growth and more. From clients and vendors to talent and new growth opportunities, SFIMA provides the educational and networking exposure to help you thrive.
Incredible $99 Membership Deal Through August 30th
During the pandemic, SFIMA reduced the cost of an individual membership by a little more than 60% to $99. The new board has approved a plan to keep low-cost membership prices in effect through August 30th. “We really want to encourage the South Florida marketing community to take advantage of this amazing discount,” said Joe Loratro, SFIMA Co-President. “The new Board is working hard to bring some of the industry’s best thought leadership on digital and interactive marketing to South Florida to speak, and we have several new initiatives in the works that will make this membership price a bargain.”
Here’s how to take advantage of the limit-time rate and join South Florida IMA.
Currently Seeking Sponsors for Upcoming Events
As the South Florida IMA team works behind the scenes to get all systems and processes back in place, it should be no surprise that as a non-profit, we need funding to help us accomplish our mission. With three networking events and a large educational event already lined up, SFIMA can offer four immediate in-person event opportunities to help providers get their brand message out. Sponsorship inquiries should be directed to sponsorship@sfima.com .
