We Are Here For You
Dear SFIMA family and friends,
We have all been facing challenges and difficulties since the COVID-19 pandemic has grasped our world and country, but it has also brought us together in a time of need as never before. The South Florida Interactive Marketing Association board of directors is here for you during this unprecedented time.
The Silver Lining:
See the situation as it is: Currently and the upcoming months will be challenging for all of us as we adapt to a new way of living in temporary isolation with rules being placed on us, a global financial downward spiral, and the devastating impact to human life. Plans will change, how we work and live will change and where we focus our attention will change.
See the situation with the potential it actually has: Sometimes you have to disengage from the problem and refocus your vision. What do you want? How could things be? What advantages can we find? Envision new, more modest goals that are worth fighting for in the near term. Those will be our new “wins.”
Map out the steps to take you there: You may not know exactly how you will reach your new goals. But you can start with intelligent guesswork. What steps do you imagine would need to be taken? Sketch them out. The right steps will come into focus as you get closer.
Recognize there will be hidden benefits: When you’re shocked and disappointed, it seems impossible that good things will come out of it. When you look back a year, 3 or even 5 years from now the hidden benefits will appear.
Every challenge you go thru, think to yourself: what will this become, what will I learn from this and know that you will be better for it.
Furthermore, we would like to extend a 6 month free individual membership to all of our peers who unfortunately were furloughed or lost their job as a result of the pandemic. Please send an email with your contact information to membership@sfima.com if you would like to join.
Stay well, positive, grounded and be the hero in your story!
