Pubcon SFIMA Summit Highlights: What NOT to Miss

Pubcon is the world’s leading digital marketing conference. With world renowned speakers, it can be difficult to choose between such awesome conference sessions. The reality is you can’t be in two places at one time – so how do you choose between these industry leaders that literally built the foundations for internet marketing? That’s where we come in.

We understand the struggle when choosing between these sessions, that’s why we have developed a “What NOT to Miss” guide for the Pubcon SFIMA Summit. This guide will allow you to see some great sessions that are not one tracked – meaning you are not focused in one topic area. If you are interested in attending the SFIMA Summit strictly to learn about paid advertising or organic marketing, we suggest that you follow that track only compared to using this guide. For the rest of you, get ready to download some awesome tips.

If you have never heard of Dennis Yu, his 8:30AM to 9:15AM sessions in Salon C is a no brainer. This man practically designed Facebook’s marketing platform. Let’s put it this way, he attends meetings with Zuckerberg to chime in on their new betas. Plus, about five minutes into his presentation his enthusiasm and love for what he does will mesmerize you. So if you didn’t think Yu was a stop on your Summit agenda, think again.

We come to a fork in the road between 1:00PM and 2:00PM when you have to choose between Creating Unforgettable PPC Ads and LinkedIn Strategy. If you are already a strong PPC specialist, we would recommend attending Sean Jackson and Jabez Lebret’s LinkedIn session in Salon C. If you have a background in social media, then Brad Geddes should be on your list.

Aside from being the most inspirational PPC Guru ever, Brad Geddes speaks truth and gold in any PPC session that he administers. He is a pioneer in the paid advertising industry and a respected leader among PPC specialists everywhere. If you want to learn how to optimize your PPC campaigns, this is the guy you want to talk to. Not to mention his beautiful co-speaker, Erin Sagin, who works for Wordstream (PPC Unicorn Larry Kim’s company). With this powerful duo in a PPC session together, this is a necessary pit stop.

At the same time in Salon C, Sean and Jabez will deep dive into real examples of how to utilize LinkedIn’s powerful platform. This much overlooked opportunity is applicable to almost every industry, but is often placed on the backburner to the much loved Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Jackson will demonstrate how to excel your company on LinkedIn and how to reach missed areas through strategic tactics and best practice tips.

Closing the conference in Salon B from 4:30-5:25PM, is a session on Google Analytics and Dashboarding. This crash course will give you the information you need to build custom reports and segment data so you can slice and dice your way through the metrics you need to optimize your performance.
